500 Exhibitors will Exhibit Innovative Packaging Materials at “FMCG Future Zone” of swop

With the growing consumption patterns of themiddle class, the market needs for intelligent, personalized and high-end packaging design, materials and products, have been increasing rapidly in food, daily sanitation, pharmaceutical and health care products. Shanghai World of Packaging (swop), which will be held from 7th to 10th November 2017 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, will join hands again with “Packaging Family” to present the “FMCG Future Zone” and reflect this trend. This featured zone willhighlight high quality packaging solutions for FMCG brands, while creating a platform for cross-area communication, and eventually enhance brand competitiveness of the FMCG companies.

RPC, the leading British plastic packaging company, will present its new and special plastic Twist Cup, which was developed for Orkla Foods Norway for their line of premium cold salads. The Twist Cup combines a polyethylene thermoformed cup with a polypropylene injection-molded lid. The PP lid locks into grooves on the cup with an audible click, letting consumers know the cup has been properly closed. As a result of solving the technical challenges of matching two different resins (PE and PP) and two different manufacturing technologies (thermoforming and injection molding), RPC won the "World Star Award" in May this year at interpack 2017, which is the world's largest show for the packaging branch and the related processing industries

In China,the marketfor shampoo and shower gel is already well established. The future growth of the market will focus on high-end areas like make-up and skin care products. In the Asia-Pacific region, these areas also have a lot of market potential.
