Interview with Mr. Jiangben, General Manager of Taizhou Funengda Industry Co.,Ltd.

From November 17 to 20, 2015, the FoodPex, International Trade Fair for the Food Processing and Packaging Industries, will take place in Shanghai. FoodPex is one of the four events (China Pharm, PacPro Asia and BulkPex) under the umbrella of SWOP - the Shanghai World of Packaging. 2 months before swop, the organizers interviewed Mr. Jiang Ben, general manager of Taizhou Funengda Industry Co.,Ltd Located at Zhejing Taizhou economic development zone.
 

In which way is your company involved in the packaging market?
Mr. Jiang Ben: Funengda is the first manufacturer of candy packaging machinery in China. Covering a journey of more than 30 years, Funengda has led the trend of twist and pillow-type wrapping of candies and chocolates in China, initiated the replacement of manual packaging of candies and chocolates by packaging via automated machine, and ventured into overseas packing market decades ago, thereby securing a great market share by virtue of our stable quality and affordable price.

Would you say we are experiencing a change in the packaging of Pharmaceutical/food/cosmetics/ products?

Mr. Jiang Ben: As things stand, there are many fixed modes when it comes to the packaging of pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics. That being said, compared with the packaging form, material and technology of like products of other countries, China has a long way to go. I would say this involves more studies and advancements than change for China's packaging industry.


What significance do you attach to the FoodPex?
Mr. Jiang Ben: FoodPex is a specialized exhibition for the food packaging industry held by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH in China. Exhibitors and buyers are all representative and professional enterprises in respective industries. FoodPex serves as an enabling bridge that facilitates exchanges between suppliers and buyers, communications and studies among industrial counterparts, and also actively promotes the generation of new demands and new technologies of the packaging industry.


Which interests do you pursue with your involvement in FoodPex?
Mr. Jiang Ben: We mainly intend to present to customers our latest chocolate and candy packaging machines, find professional buyers or experienced agents, do a good job in sales and marketing, and learn experience from international industrial leaders, with a view to make our products more internationalized and adaptive to the international market.
